PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
CALTROP Corporation in conjunction with local Spanish firms was retained to act as the program manager for the improvement and disposition of approximately 135 acres of approved residential coastal property located near Marbella, Spain.
The subject project, Lagar Martel, is located in the municipality of Mijas in the Malaga Province on the Costa del Sol in Spain. It is located within approximately a mile of the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea.
Lagar Martel is an exclusive community with oversized lots for villas, town houses and luxury apartments, consisting of 469 luxury apartments, 690 town homes, and 150 villas. The site also include green areas, a school zone, and exclusive clubhouse and shops.
The topography allows for tremendous view opportunities of the Spanish coastline, neighboring golf course facility, and the surrounding rolling hills. The area has been a Mecca for tourism and development as exemplified by the newly constructed horse race track facility, world-class golf courses and cultural venues.
