PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project consists of constructing two bridges (a railroad bridge and a pedestrian bridge) in order to separate the grade on Douglas Street between Park Place and Alaska Avenue.
Construction of the project will be coordinated with adjacent contracts, MTA, the BNSF Railroad and various utility companies. Construction of the two bridges and the new Douglas Street roadway will be completed in three stages. In all stages and phases of the work, pedestrian access to the Douglas Street station elevator shall be maintained. Furthermore, mandatory access to local businesses during construction working hours will be coordinated and provided.
