On May 9, 2013, CALTROP, along with our client, SANDAG, was honored with Project of the Year awards for our work on four SANDAG projects, at the American Public Works Association (APWA) San Diego and Imperial Counties Chapter Award Luncheon.
On April 25, 3013, CALTROP was honored with Achievement of the Year awards for our work on three SANDAG projects, at the CMAA San Diego Chapter Awards Dinner. Projects included the Bayshore Bikeway 7 and 8a, the Regional Beach Sand Project and the Santa Fe Drive Pedestrian Underpass. Exceptional teamwork and commitment provided a successful completion of these projects.
Caltrans recently honored CALTROP with a Calmentor award at its Southern California Alliance Recognition Award Luncheon held on February 21 at the Pacific Palms Hotel & Conference Center in the City of Industry.
The project received great public acclaim with the community as a whole and was officially opened to the public on February 27th, 2013, after a ribbon cutting ceremony in the afternoon. The ceremony was attended by the Encinitas Mayor, SANDAG Chair and Santee Councilmember, and County Supervisor / Board member of the North County Transit District (NCTD).
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) has launched new low-floor trolley service on the Orange Line, marking the completion of a $13 million renovation of the line's stations. A ceremony was held Wednesday, January 9th, at the Euclid Avenue Transit Center in San Diego to recognize the occasion.
