Del Amo Boulevard Overcrossing at Interstate 405

The Del Amo Boulevard project in the City of Carson included approximately 760 meters of new roadway and bridge improvements, varying between 26.1 and 31.9 meters wide. The new roadway spans I-405, Dominguez Channel and Macco Channel to accommodate six travel lanes, a concrete median island, left turn lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalks, retaining wall, northbound weigh-station on-ramp modification, drainage improvements and utility relocation. To efficiently complete this project, extensive night construction was required. The project required coordination with U.S. Fish and Wildlife services, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and California Department of Fish and Game.

CALTROP provided project management, resident engineering, inspection, materials testing, surveying, public relations and cost estimating services for this project.
