I-5 Central County Improvement Project

CALTROP Communications’ role was to assist OCTA in developing and implementing a dynamic public outreach program during the environmental review phase of the project. We conducted 21 ascertainment interviews with more than 80 individuals representing key corridor stakeholders, including local government (city and county), elected officials, non-profit organizations, schools, small and large businesses, the Hispanic community, emergency services personnel and medical facilities. We also convened a Stakeholder Working Group made up of key constituents representing the cities of Santa Ana, Orange and Tustin, including neighborhood associations, businesses, schools, emergency services providers / medical facilities, event destinations and civic / government officials. In addition, CALTROP managed the project database, created and posted content to the project social media page, and planned and coordinated all logistics for the Public Hearing that was held in September 2014.
